A comforting, cheesy lasagna made entirely in one skillet. It is quick, simple, and perfect when you want homemade lasagna without using the oven.
Ingredients
- 8 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the tomato sauce and water and stir well.
- Break the lasagna noodles into smaller pieces and arrange them over the sauce. Gently press them down so they are mostly covered.
- Cover the skillet and cook over medium-low heat for about 12–15 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
- Spoon small portions of ricotta over the lasagna and sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the top.
- Cover again and cook for another 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Tip: Keep the skillet covered while the noodles cook. The steam helps them soften evenly without needing to boil them separately.
