Easy One-Pan Skillet Lasagna

A comforting, cheesy lasagna made entirely in one skillet. It is quick, simple, and perfect when you want homemade lasagna without using the oven.

Ingredients

  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and water and stir well.
  5. Break the lasagna noodles into smaller pieces and arrange them over the sauce. Gently press them down so they are mostly covered.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook over medium-low heat for about 12–15 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
  7. Spoon small portions of ricotta over the lasagna and sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the top.
  8. Cover again and cook for another 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted.
  9. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Tip: Keep the skillet covered while the noodles cook. The steam helps them soften evenly without needing to boil them separately.
